Dear Lady. Ann:
From the ages of 11 to 14 I was living with my stepfather. He was very abusive, physically and emotionally. He was never physically sexually abusive but he would verbally speak about things that made me uncomfortable and hate my body. It would make me feel disgusting and I’m still at this point where I think if my mom had never gotten with him I would be fine. I am now 15 and still struggling with multiple mental health issues because of my stepfather and other parental figures in my past and my surroundings in the society.
